Kerala is not like India. The architecture has a strong Dutch/Portuguese colonial feel, it’s relatively wealthy and literacy is high. It’s very relaxed and lacking in the typical urgency and crowding that typifies most of India. It’s very easy to enjoy yourself in Kerala. And it’s full of culture.

These photos were taken in and around Cochin, on the backwaters near Alleppy and on the tea plantations in the hills near Munar. Apologies for the old names.
